Payment Links

Payment Links let you sell products and services without building a website or checkout funnel. Create a full payment page in just a few clicks, then share the link with customers via SMS, email, social media, or any other channel. Each link generates a hosted checkout page that handles the entire transaction from collecting customer details to processing payment through your connected payment provider.

Payment Links provide instant, shareable checkout pages for one-time or recurring payments.

Core capabilities

  • Generate generic links anyone can use or personalized links tied to specific contacts with pre-filled details
  • Bundle multiple products into a single checkout (unlimited one-time products, one recurring product max)
  • Collect customer name, email, phone, and address with configurable required fields
  • Enable quantity controls, coupon codes, and customizable call-to-action buttons
  • Display products pulled from your Products catalog with automatic image display
  • Send links directly via email, SMS, or both from within the platform

Where payment links are used

  • Workflow automations with personalized contact-specific URLs
  • Social media posts and bios for instant checkout
  • Email campaigns and text message sequences
  • QR codes for in-person transactions
  • Website embeds as hyperlinks, buttons, or iframes

Key Configuration Options

Customer information fields: Enable Require customers to add a phone number to make phone mandatory. Enable Collect customer addresses to display street, city, state, country, and postal code fields for physical product delivery or tax compliance.

Quantity controls: Enable Let customers adjust quantities to allow buyers to choose how many units of a one-time product they want. Set minimum and maximum limits to control bulk orders and prevent overselling.

Coupon codes: Select Allow coupon codes to display a discount code field on the checkout page. Customers enter promotional codes created under Payments > Coupons that apply to all eligible products in the cart.

Call-to-action button: Customize the checkout button text using the dropdown. Options include “Pay,” “Book,” “Donate,” and other labels that align with your offering.

Terms and conditions: Add legal or policy text that appears directly below the payment button. Include refund policies, service agreements, or important disclosures.

Branding message: Enable the Branding option to include a custom “Powered by” label on the checkout page displaying your agency or business name.

Power Features

Custom branding and theming: Navigate to Payments > Settings > Payment Link Customization to apply Brand Board colors and fonts or manually set background and button colors. All styling changes preview in real time. Theming is applied globally across all Payment Links.

URL parameters: Pre-populate customer data with firstName=, lastName=, email=, and phone= parameters. Control post-purchase behavior with redirectUrl= (destination after payment) and redirectIn= (countdown timer in seconds before redirect).

Language localization: The hosted checkout page automatically localizes field labels, buttons, and error messages based on the Platform Language configured in Settings > Business Profile. Supported languages include English, Danish, German, Spanish, Finnish, French, Italian, Dutch, Norwegian, Portuguese, and Swedish.

Payment modes: Switch between Test mode (simulate payments with test card numbers) and Live mode (accept real payments). Always test your Payment Link in test mode before switching to live.

Automatic deactivation: Set an expiration date for any Payment Link. Once the date is reached, the link becomes inaccessible. Ideal for time-limited offers, seasonal campaigns, enrollment windows, and event registrations.

Multi-product bundling: Click + Add Another Product after selecting your first product to bundle complementary items. Checkout pages organize products into One-time Products and Recurring Products sections automatically.

Pro Tips

  • Create products before links and include images, descriptions, and accurate pricing. Product images display automatically on the checkout page and improve conversion rates.
  • Use personalized links for high-value sales to pre-fill customer data, reduce friction, and ensure accurate contact records in your CRM.
  • Test in test mode first by running through the entire checkout flow with test card numbers before sharing any link with real customers.
  • Apply brand theming to build trust and reduce cart abandonment. Set up your Brand Board under Settings > Brand and apply it to all Payment Links.
  • Use redirect URLs to send customers to a dedicated thank-you page after purchase for upsell opportunities, next-step instructions, or confirmation details.

Common Questions

How do I create a Payment Link?

Navigate to Payments > Payment Links > Create New Payment Link. Select your product, configure settings, and click Save. Then use Copy / Send to distribute the link.

Can I include both one-time and recurring products in a single link?

Yes. Click + Add Another Product to add multiple items. The checkout page groups them into one-time and recurring sections. Customers can select multiple one-time products but only one recurring product.

Do manual payment methods (like bank transfers) work with Payment Links?

No. Manual payment methods are not currently supported on Payment Link checkout pages. Only automated methods like Stripe and PayPal are available. For manual payments, use an Invoice or Order Form instead.

Will my branding changes apply to all existing Payment Links?

Yes. Theme customization is applied globally. Once you save your Brand Board or custom theme under Payments > Settings > Payment Link Customization, all current and future links reflect the updated styling.

Can I pre-fill customer information on the checkout page?

Yes. Append URL parameters like firstName=, lastName=, email=, and phone= to the Payment Link URL. This is especially useful when sending links through automated workflows.
