Media Library
The Media Library is your centralized hub for storing and managing images, videos, documents, audio files, and fonts. Every asset uploaded here becomes instantly available across Social Planner, Email Builder, Funnels, Websites, Courses, Conversations, and Forms. Upload once, insert anywhere. This single-source approach keeps branding consistent, eliminates duplicate files, and simplifies asset management as your library grows.
What Media Library Does
The Media Library stores and organizes all digital assets in one location accessible across the entire platform. Drag and drop files into Media Storage or click the upload button to add images, videos, documents, audio, and fonts. Connect Google Drive to import owned files directly without downloading to your computer first.
Supported file types: Images (PNG, JPEG, GIF, TIFF, WEBP, SVG, ICO, HEIC), videos (MP4, MOV, AVI, MPEG, OGV, WMV, WebM, M4V), audio (MP3, WAV, AIF, MIDI, OGA, WebM Audio, MPEG Audio, M4A), documents (PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Text, CSV, ZIP), fonts (TrueType, OpenType, WOFF, WOFF2), and other formats (JSON, CSS, vCard, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Apple Numbers).
Folder organization: Create folders with descriptive names (e.g., “2026 Spring Campaign,” “Client Logos,” “Social Media Templates”), nest folders inside other folders for deeper organization, and move files or entire folders with subfolders intact. Right-click files or use the three-dot menu to access Rename, Delete, Move to Folder, Preview, and Insert actions.
Viewing and sorting: Toggle between grid view (thumbnails with orientation badges for Landscape, Portrait, or Square) and list view (rows with pixel dimensions displayed next to image names). Sort by Name (A to Z or Z to A), Size (smallest or largest first), and Modified Date (newest or oldest first).
Built-in image editor: Hover over an image, click the three-dot menu, and select Edit to access cropping, rotating, flipping, filters, brightness/contrast/saturation/blur adjustments, text overlays (with customizable font, size, alignment, color, background, line spacing), stickers (emojis and shapes with opacity and color controls), and freehand brush drawing. Edited images save as new files, preserving originals.
Key Configuration Options
Upload size limits by module: Media Library direct upload supports images up to 100 MB, videos up to 4 GB, audio up to 100 MB, and documents up to 100 MB. Social Planner limits images to 10 MB and videos to 1 GB. Sites and Funnels allow images up to 100 MB and videos up to 4 GB. Courses support images up to 50 MB and videos up to 5 GB. Custom Value File Upload caps all types at 50 MB. Always check module-specific limits before uploading large files.
Storage usage monitoring: Click the three-dot menu in Media Storage and select Storage to view total usage with a color-coded bar and per-module breakdown (Media Library, Conversations, Memberships, Contacts, Calendar). Expand any module row to see usage by file type (Images, Videos, Documents, Audio). Use this data to identify large files consuming disproportionate storage.
Trash and file recovery: Deleted files move to the Trash folder and remain for 30 days. Access Trash from the three-dot menu to restore files to their original location or permanently delete them. After 30 days, trashed files are automatically deleted and cannot be recovered. Files in Trash still count against storage allocation.
Google Drive integration: Click Connect Drive in Media Storage, authenticate with your Google account, and browse owned files to import. Only files you own appear due to Google Drive permission restrictions. Workaround for shared files: create a copy in your own Drive, then import the copy.
Power Features
Cross-platform integration: Files uploaded to Media Storage are accessible from Social Planner, Email Builder, Funnel Builder, Website Builder, Courses, Conversations, and Forms. The Media Library opens as a modal window inside these modules, allowing drag-and-drop uploads and direct insertion without leaving your current project.
Quick actions and previews: Right-click any file for a dropdown with Rename, Delete, Move to Folder, Preview, and Insert options. When opening the Media Library from modules like Website Builder or Funnel Builder, use the Insert Media button to instantly add files to your project, or click Preview to verify appearance before inserting.
Browser compatibility: Upload, listing, and preview behaviors are standardized across Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. All supported file types work consistently across browsers with validated file type support, consistent error handling, predictable inline preview rendering, and reliable thumbnail generation.
SVG and font support: SVG files scale to any size without pixelation, ideal for logos displayed across different screen sizes. Font files (TrueType, OpenType, WOFF, WOFF2) up to 100 MB can be uploaded and used to customize website and funnel branding via Custom CSS. Organize fonts in a dedicated folder for easy location.
Pro Tips
- Establish a folder naming convention using consistent, descriptive names like “YYYY-MM Campaign Name” or “Client Name / Asset Type” so any team member can find files quickly.
- Upload optimized files by compressing images before uploading. Tools like TinyPNG or Squoosh can reduce file sizes by 50% or more without noticeable quality loss, improving load times on funnels and websites.
- Use descriptive filenames before uploading (e.g., “spring-promo-hero-banner.png” instead of “IMG_4521.png”). This makes searching and sorting much more effective.
- Keep Social Planner images under 10 MB since the Social Planner enforces stricter limits than the main Media Library. Resize or compress images that exceed this limit before scheduling social posts.
- Leverage the Trash as a safety net for accidental deletions. You have 30 days to restore files, but do not rely on this as a long-term backup. Review Trash periodically to recover files deleted by mistake.
Common Questions
What is the maximum file size I can upload to the Media Library?
Images, audio files, documents, and fonts can be up to 100 MB each. Videos can be up to 4 GB. These limits apply to direct uploads in the Media Library. Other modules like Social Planner (10 MB images, 1 GB videos) and Courses (50 MB images, 5 GB videos) have their own lower limits.
What happens when I delete a file from the Media Library?
Deleted files move to the Trash where they stay for 30 days. During that window, you can restore any file to its original location. After 30 days, files are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Files in Trash still count against storage allocation.
Can I edit images directly in the Media Library?
Yes. The built-in image editor supports cropping, rotating, flipping, filters, brightness and contrast adjustments, text overlays, stickers, and freehand drawing. It currently works with PNG and JPEG formats only. Edited images save as new files, preserving originals.
Does the Media Library work with Google Drive?
Yes. Click Connect Drive in Media Storage to link your Google account and import files. Only files you own in Google Drive are visible. Shared files and shortcuts to shared files are not displayed due to Google’s permission model. Workaround: create a copy of shared files in your own Drive, then import the copy.
Can I use the same file across multiple modules without re-uploading?
Yes. Upload a file once to the Media Library, and it becomes available across Social Planner, Email Builder, Funnel Builder, Website Builder, Courses, Conversations, and Forms without re-uploading.
